Linked to Literacy Reading and Mentoring Initiative

Jersey Shore (NJ) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated supports literacy initiatives to enrich the lives of youth, educate youth, and encourage youth to read more. The Linked to Literacy Initiative is available to Long Branch Public Schools students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Linked to Literacy Initiative Participation:

• Students will read books of their choosing from their personal selection, school, or the library.

• Students in kindergarten through 8th grade will provide the name of the book and author to the Linked to Literacy Initiative lead teacher.  Photos are welcome!

• The Linked to Literacy Initiative lead teacher will track the number of books each student reads.

• The students who read the most books, per grade level, will receive cool prizes!  Reading is fun!

• All students will receive certificates for their participation in the Linked to Literacy Initiative.
